The Snoop Dogg vampire movie film review

Jamie Foxx and Dave Franco star in "Day Shift," a vampire hunting movie. The story follows a blue collar father who wants to provide a comfortable life for his daughter. However, his job as a pool cleaner in San Fernando Valley is just a façade for his true source of income: hunting and killing vampires for the International Union of Vampire Hunters.

The premise sounds interesting, but can J.J. Perry deliver the goods?

Jamie Foxx and a young lady named Vampire are in a crazy action scene that opens "Day Shift". The sequence then turns into a mad fight between the two. I feel like the movie really has fun with this kind of rag-doll physics in its action scenes, making those sequences pop in a way that a lot of the Netflix action movies (or action blockbusters these days) don't. It's hard to not think about the old adage that "action speaks more than words". But, "Day Shift" has a unique ability to employ both dialogue and action to enhance the story and character development. Jamie Foxx's character kills the vampire. He then has a funny, dry conversation with his partner about how he believed she would become a bat or other animal. Moments like these are what elevate "Day Shift," above similar movies.

Day Shift is another fun, non-serious film that I felt like I could genuinely enjoy the whole way through. It was fun and entertaining. It had humor and I laughed a lot. It also drew inspiration from the brilliant vampire films Blade and Lost Boys, two of my all-time favorite films. The acting was strong, the direction was superb and the cinematography excellent. Day Shift, (Day Shift vampires) a movie that is both enjoyable and not too serious, is worth a look. It's lots of fun.

Day Shift had mixed reviews. There are some great action scenes and fun characters (the brothers and Seth), but the villain is terrible and there are a lot more mediocre characters. However, that makes Day Shift even more enjoyable. There seemed to have been missing scenes. Bud's neighbor acts like she is a friend even though they only had about 3 minutes each before the final scene. Bud started making prank phone call after she got to work at the gas station. This was the best part of the movie. It was hilarious and it was so much fun to watch. But then the rest of the movie happened, and it wasn't nearly as good. Day Shift, in the end, is a mixed bag. There are good parts, and there are bad parts. This movie is great for those who want to have a good time and laugh.

Snoop dogg was something I almost forgot to mention. He's an amazing character in Day Shift. The whole movie is worth it because of him. His comedy is great and he's funny. But he is also so natural in his role. It's as if he was made for the role.
